We Waited Patiently, But We Finally Let Our Hair Down.
After a 2 year wait, here at St. Mary’s Gaelic Football Club, we FINALLY got to celebrate our 60th Anniversary… and how we celebrated!
The Billy Wright Suite at Molineux Stadium provided the perfect backdrop for the festivities and to say the evening was a success would be a massive understatement.
The venue was amazing, the food was exquisite, the raffle and auction prizes were mind-blowing, and our guests were incredible!
Thank you so much to everyone who attended. To those of you who gave so generously to our raffle and auction, donated to our Run4Pieta challenge, bought merchandise, and generally made the night what it was… unreal, we cannot thank you enough for attending.
It is genuinely a privilege to have so many of you supporting this great club.
A special thank you goes to Seamus Kennedy. Seamus was one of the club’s founding members back in 1960 and we had the honour of him attending the Dinner Dance and drawing our first raffle prize of the evening.
Another special thank you is extended to Susan Barlow of The Way Youth Zone in Wolverhampton. Susan attended as one of our guests where she was presented by the club with a cheque of £3,116. It was a joy to speak to her about the great work they are doing for young people in Wolverhampton.
To the committee, fantastic work all round. It goes without saying that without the dedication from everyone on the committee, the night would not be what is was.
To the band, On The Sesh, great work lads. Amazing work.
Finally, a big congratulations to the following members of the squad who picked up awards on the evening:
Players’ Player – Dan Mason
Managers’ Player – Kieran Walpole
Most Improved Player – Conor McCann
Club Person of the Year – Dan Foley
Best Trainer - James Grainger-Bradley
Here’s to the next 60!!!
HON THE MARY’S!!!!
